Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is the most natural way to rejuvenate the skin. It is taken from your very own blood and delivers a healthy, radiant glow to the skin.
What to Expect During a PRF Treatment
A PRF treatment involves three parts: a blood draw, separating the components of your blood, and administering the platelets back into your skin. Before treatment begins, your treatment area will be cleansed and prepped. A small amount of blood will be drawn from your vein, just like it would be at an appointment for lab work.
Once the blood has been drawn, it will be put into a test tube with no additives or chemicals. It will be centrifuged (spun) immediately. Once your blood’s components have been separated, the effective components will be collected into a syringe so that the mixture can be either injected or topically administered to your skin. PRF can also be administered using another treatment such as microneedling. The treatment takes about one hour, and we typically recommend a minimum of three treatments scheduled 4-6 weeks apart.
