The Science of Hyaluronic Acid and What Makes the RHA Collection Different

Hyaluronic acid is a compound that we all have naturally. Its job is to keep the skin plump, strong, firm, and hydrated, but with age, our hyaluronic acid begins to diminish. This results in wrinkles and volume loss, and is where dermal fillers become very beneficial. Many fillers use synthetic hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient, and when it’s injected, it binds itself to the water molecules in the skin, achieving volume and lift.

The hyaluronic acid in RHA Collection cosmetic injections is different because it’s the closest yet to the natural hyaluronic acid we’re born with.

What Happens During Treatment?

Before your cosmetic injections, we will cleanse and prep your skin. A topical anesthetic can be used if you prefer, but many patients don’t find it necessary to be numbed. The pre-selected RHA Collection product will be injected using specific needles or a cannula for areas of caution and our advanced injection techniques. Comfort is maximized with our special injection sequence, and the product will be massaged into the skin for even distribution. Treatment time takes approximately 30 minutes.

Downtime & Results

You’ll be able to return to your regular activities after your cosmetic injections, with only a few restrictions for 1-2 days:

No pressure on the area (touching, rubbing, scrubbing, etc.)
No exercise or activities that will cause you to sweat
No blood-thinning medications

Side effects may include swelling, mild bruising, redness, or tenderness, which typically resolves within 1-2 weeks.
