What to Expect During a Lumecca IPL Treatment
It’s important for patients undergoing Lumecca IPL skin rejuvenation to stay out of the sun for at least two weeks before and after treatment.
Treatments are quick and convenient, typically only requiring about 20 minutes. Before the procedure begins, your skin will be cleansed and prepped. We use a superior numbing topical to help keep discomfort at a minimum. In addition, we offer a relaxing atmosphere and your personal choice of music or television to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
You will also be given protective eye shields, and a conductive gel will be applied directly to your skin. Your provider will use the Lumecca handheld device on your skin, “stamping” over the area for full coverage of the area as the device emits powerful flashes of light. Lumecca can be adjusted to a stronger or lower setting depending on your specific skin and concerns.
Many patients say that the sensation feels like a tiny rubber band snapping on their skin. Lumecca’s sapphire cooling tip helps keep discomfort as low as possible.
