How Qwo Works 

The appearance of cellulite is caused when fat gets in between the fibrous connective strands that connect the skin to muscle. These strands begin to pull down on the skin, creating a dimpled appearance. Qwo is made from enzymes that break down and release these fibrous strands, resulting in a smoother appearance. In addition, Qwo redistributes fat cells and triggers new collagen growth, which also reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Cellulite can be very frustrating to get rid of naturally, as it doesn’t respond to diet and exercise. What Happens During a Qwo Treatment?

One of the best things about Qwo is how fast the treatments are. The injections typically only require 10-15 minutes, making sessions very convenient. Your skin will be cleansed and prepped, then marked to help guide your injector. Up to 12 injections will be administered per buttock.

Downtime and Results

You will be able to continue your regular activities after treatment, except exercise, although many patients do experience significant bruising and tenderness. Side effects that are less common include itching, redness, discoloration, swelling, and areas that are warm or hard.

The earliest results may be seen in three weeks, but optimal results are seen 4 weeks after your treatment series is completed. Typically, three sessions scheduled 3-4 weeks apart are needed, and over this time, results look better and better. Side effects also become less apparent with each session.

Although Qwo has only been FDA-approved for cellulite since 2020, collagenase clostridium histolyticum treatments have been used for years in the medical industry for different purposes. It has also been studied by physicians all over the country and has gone through many clinical trials.

Who is a good candidate for Qwo?

Anyone who wants to improve the appearance of cellulite is a great candidate for Qwo, as long as they aren’t allergic to the ingredients or to collagenase; don’t have an active infection in the area or any type of bleeding problem, do not have excessive skin laxity, are not pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or nursing.
